About

Ferndale’s Youth Librarians partnered with Ferndale Department of Public Works and Ferndale Parks and Recreation to coordinate the installation of a new Story Trail at Martin Road Park.

A Story Trail is a great way to encourage exploration of outdoor spaces and grow a love of reading through stories. You can find our Story Trail starting along the west side of the park running north from Woodward Heights down toward the Detroit Curling Club. Families can enjoy the outdoors as they continue along the trail via interactive prompts while reading a picture book.

Our first featured book is I Got the School Spirit by Connie Schofield-Morrison, illustrated by Frank Morrison. We'll feature other books in the future so be sure to check back later to learn what book is next!
