Free, all-ages concert, sponsored by the Friends of the Ferndale Library
Nick Schillace:
An early devote of traditional American guitar styles, Nick Schillace studied fingerpicking techniques at the Augusta Heritage Workshop in West Virginia, later adapting these techniques to acoustic and electric guitar, and banjo. Nick has since explored the intersection of folk and vernacular influences and how these influences develop into a cultivated style for artists. He has recorded over a dozen albums as a soloist and in ensembles and has made several tours of the US and Europe. He recently released A Rich Boy’s Measured Blues.

This “picker of guitars and banjos, singer of songs and composer of ditties and compositions alike,” will be kicking off our 2025 concert series with a free, all-ages show in January
