The Ferndale Library and Affirmations cohost a social club/book club for kids in grades 4-8, meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month, starting at 6:00 pm in the library's program room.

This is a social hour with a book discussion included. Each month, attendees have the chance to read and then discuss a selected book at the Reading Rainbow.

At our next meeting on FEBRUARY 25, we'll talk about Noah Frye Gets Cruhsed by Maggie Horne.

Kids don't have to have finished (or even started) the book to attend the Reading Rainbow; the rest of the hour is free time dedicated to socializing/crafting/hanging out together.

Drop-Ins are always welcome!

You can pick up a copy of this month's book at the Ferndale Library or place a hold online.

About the book:  In this cute and queer contemporary middle grade comedy about friendship, first crushes, and first kisses, twelve-year-old Noah Frye comes up with a foolproof plan to teach herself how to have a crush on a boy to fit in better with her friends--only to discover she's been looking in the wrong place, and her crush was right beside her all along
