Kate Hinote has a voice that’s both cinematic and operatic, a mood-setting, mellifluous intonation that fits inside candle-lit lounges, late summer night feverdreams, or as a torch song from a surreal soundtrack. Join us for a free, all-ages acoustic concert!

The Kate Hinote Trio is a contemporary folk band from the Detroit area that features Kate Hinote on vocals, David Johnson on acoustic guitar, and Matthew Parmenter on violin. The trio's music is a mix of original material, covers, and songs by other Detroit songwriters. Their sound has been described as "indie-folk/prog-folk" and "beautiful, weird, dark alternative folk. They released a full-length album, Near in 2021.
